The Reset: Women’s Cooking & Wellbeing Retreat
Friday 12 - Monday 15 April 2024
Spring is a time to emerge and flourish!
Join us for an immersive weekend of Plant-Based Cooking & Therapeutic Yoga specially designed to help you reset from winter and sync with the seasonal qualities of renewal and invigoration.
Inspired by Ayurvedic Rtucharya - nutrition and lifestyle rituals for spring, over the weekend we will explore holistic approaches to women’s health and wellbeing through specialist workshops and practices.
Co-hosted by experts in their field - retreat chef & Healing Diets Coach Bex and Yoga Therapist Eirian - you will be held in a nourishing and supportive environment in the warm embrace of community.
Based in The Peak District National Park, our cottage is the perfect spot to get away from it all and reconnect to the rhythms of nature and yourself.
What to expect over the weekend…
-
Guided by Bex, you will learn cleansing Ayurvedic recipes and seasonal nutrition tips to support your wellbeing as we transition into the spring season, with opportunities to personalise recipes to balance your current imbalances.
The detailed workshops will focus on ‘sattvic’ food – fresh wholefood recipes that are easy to digest, balancing and harmonious for the mind, and supportive for women’s health.
Bex brings fun and vibrancy to the workshops, which you will see and savour in your culinary creations! There will be a mixture of cooking demonstrations and hands-on activities to help you feel empowered to continue your culinary journey at home.
-
Led by Yoga Therapist Eirian Collinge, explore mindful yoga & somatic movement practices to help you feel connected, restored, rejuvenated & content.
Yoga for women’s health
Using the lens of yoga traditions and bodywork models, this workshop we will explore soothing practices in line with hormonal health.
Yoga for digestive health
Therapeutic Yoga offers a holistic view of digestive system health as the heart of our whole being - during this workshop you'll gain greater understanding of the continual communications between the gut and the brain, the relevance of the fascia, vagus nerve, psoas-diaphragm connections & stress in relation to digestive health.
-
Enjoy grounding, delicious seasonal meals made with locally sourced organic ingredients – all of the food will be vegan, gluten free and nourishing!
-
The weekend will allow you the time to explore the different layers of your being through specialised cooking and yoga workshops; giving you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge with like-minded souls in a peaceful environment.
-
Digest the day’s learning through deep restful yoga practices blending Yin Yoga, Somatic Movement, Pranayama & Yoga Nidra meditation.
-
Enjoy simple activities like walking in the fresh air, allowing your senses to open and soak up the elements of nature around you. Cosy up with a good book in the cottage or take a relaxing soak in the hot tub under the stars!
-
Learn more about your own unique body and personality type, and feel empowered on your own personal wellbeing journey. Learn new daily rituals, take away new recipes as well as self-care tips and simple yoga practices to help you to continue your journey at home.
